Obverse: Name of the Abbasid Caliph, Al Nasir L'Deen Allah Amir Al-Momineen (commander of the Faithful) in central square with excurvate sides, Margin with mint formula in outer circle citing the mint as Shafurqan (شفرقان), Reverse: Within an enclsoing circle with a beaded border the Islamic profession of faith i.e., Shahadah, 2). Obverse: عدل “Adl” (transl. Justice: indicating that the coin is legal tender) above a tamgha/motif of a bow and arrow inside an ornate hexafoil, Margins (left to right anticlockwise): Duriba / Hadha / Al-Dirham / Ba Qunduz (Struck this Dirham at Qunduz), Reverse: Stylized Horse Rider Facing Left, 1).
