Kashmir Sultanate, Haidar Dughlat INO Mughal Emperor Humayun (AD 1546-1550), Silver Square Sasnu, 6.20 gms, 14.26 mm, Kashmir Mint (fully visible inside the square at bottom on rev), AH 953, Obv: al-sultan al-a'zam muhammad humayun ghazi, Rev: darb kashmir and date, Sultan Haidar Dughlat (Mirza Haidar Dughlat, was a Turco-Mongol prince of the Dughlat clan who ruled Kashmir from about 1540 to 1551. He is best known for writing Tarikh-i-Rashidi, a major historical source on Central Asia and Kashmir. His reign was marked by political instability, religious reforms, and constant rebellions, and he was killed in 1551 during a military campaign, G&G # K104, very fine, very scarce.
