Although Jizya was abolished in 1720 AD and Hindu institutions experienced a revival under the influence of Sawai Jai Singh II and the Jat rulers of Bharatpur, the imperial mint continued to use the official mint name Islamabad. With the decline of Mughal authority and the rise of Maharaja Suraj Mal (r. 1755–1763 AD), the traditional name Mathura gradually returned to common and administrative use, while later Maratha issues even bore the transitional mint designation "Islamabad Mathura." Gold Mohurs of the Islamabad (Mathura) Mint are considerably rarer than the corresponding silver rupees, making them highly desirable and important rarities in late Mughal gold coinage, KM # 438.9, test mark on the edge overall very fine, rare.
