Ancient, Guptas, Samudragupta (c. 335-380 AD), Gold Dinar, 7.54 gms, 20.57 mm, ‘King and Queen’ type, issued in memory of his parents that is Emperor Chandragupta I standing with Queen Kumaradevi, the king offering a flower to the Queen with his right hand, with crescent (for Chandra) above, legend “Shri kumara devi” to left and to right Chandra, rev. Goddess Durga seated on a left facing lion holding cornucopia and pasha with legend “Lichhavyah” to commemorate the marriage alliance of Chandragupta I with the Lichhavi tribe, Sanjeev Kumar TOTGE # Pg 177 class II.
