Delhi Sultan, Ghiyath Al-Din Tughluq Shah (AH 720-725, 1320-1325 AD), Silver Tanka, 10.97 gms, 28.26 mm, Qila Deogir Mint (fully visible in the outer margin from 8 to 7'o clock reading it counter clockwise on the rev), Tughluq struck silver tankas at Dar al-Islam, Delhi and Deogir with the same legend, and then, after the conquest of Tilangana, tankas in the both metals with a differnt legend and the mint-name Mulk-i-Tilang, Legends, al-sultan al-ghazi legend, used at Dar al-Islam, Delhi and Deogir, obverse, "al-sultan al-ghazi ghiyath al-dunya wa'l din'l muzaffar", Reverse, "tugluq shah al-sultan nasir amir al-mu'minin", NW # 441, R # 1084, G&G # D307, very fine, rare.
