Mughal, Shah Jahan (AH 1037-1068, 1628-1658 AD), Gold Mohur, 10.81 gms 25.49 mm, Akbarabad Mint (visible at bottom on obv), AH 1041, RY 4, Kalima within quatrefoil on rev, complete name of the ruler Shihabuddin Muhammad Shah Jahan Badshah Gazi in centre, with mint name and RY at bottom on obv, The legends on this coin are inscribed in ‘Thulth’ style of calligraphy. Most likely this is a special issue to mark an occasion such as the Persian New Year or emperor’s birthday Darbar, Unlisted in KM, very fine+, extremely rare.
