Ancient, Gupta Period, (c. 5th-6th Century AD), Gold Seal, 1.13 gms, 10.34 mm, Obverse: Brahmi legend at center reading as ‘Bhagada(de)vasya’ inside two concentric circles, wavy design around, Reverse: Double hooks, very fine, rare.
The seal appears to belong to an office bearer/ administrator of name Bhagadeva. It can be dated to the Gupta period based on the palaeography of the legend. The seal is in an excellent condition with clear letters and beautifully ornated.
