Ancient, Guptas, Samudragupta (c. 335-380 AD), Gold Dinar, 7.22 gms, 19.05 mm, ‘Sceptre/Standard’ type, Obv: King nimbate standing left, holding the royal scepter (Rajadhanda) adorned with ribbon in his left hand sacrificing over an altar, Garuda standard on the left field, Brahmi legend 'Samudra' below the king's arm, circular Brahmi legend Samarasatavita......" around the field, Rev: Goddess Lakshmi nimbate seated on high backed throne, whose two legs are clearly visible, with her feet resting on a circular mat below, diadmed and cornucopia in her hands, a tamgha on the top left field and a small symbolon the top right, Brahmi legend "Parakramah" on the right field, Variant of Altekar, Bayana Hoard # PI.
