Delhi Sultan, Nasir Al-Din Khusru Shah (AH 720, 1320 AD), Silver Tanka, 11.00 gms, 26.30 mm, Hadrat Delhi Mint (fully visible at 7 o'clock in margin on reverse), AH 720, Khusru was a former Hindu slave from Gujarat and his Hindu name is still a mystery, Qutb al-Din Mubarak had elevated him to high position, Khusru showed his gratitude by having the sultan assassinated whereupon he ascended the Dehli throne with the title Nasir al-Din Khusru Shah. His usurpation however did not last long and before the year was out he was captured in battle and executed, G&G # D292, extra fine, extremely rare.
