Indian Princely States, Radhanpur State, Bismilla Khan (AH 1291-1313, 1874-1895 AD), Silver Rupee, 11.61 gms, 28.33 mm, Radhanpur Mint (fully visible at bottom on rev), with the name of Queen Victoria, AH 1299, AD 1881, Obv: (top to bottom) 'malikah 1881 mu'azzamah / qaiser-i-hind victoria / zarb radhanpur', Rev: (bottom to top) '1299 h(ijri)/ nawab muhammad bismillah khan bahadur babi, Nawab Mohammad Bismillah Khan (AH 1291–1313 / 1874–1895 AD) succeeded to the throne of Radhanpur State on 9 October 1874 AD following the death of his father, Nawab Zorawar Shir Khan. A ruler of the Babi Pathan dynasty, he governed the state as a British-protected princely state while retaining considerable internal autonomy. Following his death on 20 December 1895 AD, he was succeeded by his minor son, Nawab Mohammad Sher Khan II, resulting in a British-supervised regency, similar to Zeno # 248889, KM # 28, very fine, rare.
