Ancient World, Sasanian Dynasty, Kavadh I, Second Reign (499-531 CE), Silver Drachm, 4.07 gms, 29.05 mm, MRV (Merw) Mint, RY 35 (Panj Si), Obverse: Crowned King’s Bust facing right, one diadem facing upwards on each side, crescents on shoulder and a star in the field behind and in front of the crown, Crescents filled with a star placed at 3, 6, and 9 o clock on the margin, Reverse: Fire altar flanked by two attendants, Mint MRV (Merw) in Pahlavi script on the right and RY 35 (Panj Si) on the left, choice very fine, scarce.
