Ancient, Gold Ornament from Gupta period (5th-7th Cen AD), 2.82 gms, 20.31 mm, the ornament is most probably a part of a crown (Mukuta) intended for a deity of a temple, The ornament has an image in heavy relief of Mithuna (a couple) in the centre surrounded by images of other people, Mithuna is usually associated with being the forms of Shakti and Shiva in unison wherein energies are transferred through their subtle bodies, Fine with signs of attempts being made to straighten the otherwise curved crown, Very Fine, Extremely Rare.
