Ancient, Guptas, Kumaragupta I (409-452 AD), Lion Slayer Type, Gold Dinara, 7.45 gms, 18.39 mm, Obverse: King slaying a lion with a bow and arrow, King wears a crown, Brahmi legend around reading clockwise from 1 O clock as ‘Sakshadiva (NarasimhahSimhamahendroJayatyanisham)’, Reverse: Front facing Goddess seated on a lion to right in Padmasana, holding lotus stalk and diadem, Tamgha at left of face, Brahmi legend in right field reads ‘(ShriMahe)ndraSimhah’, All within a dotted border, S. Gupta, TOTGE # Lion Slayer Type, Class II, Variety D, traces of the attached mount is seen on the reverse at 2'o clock hence Ex Mount over all about very fine, very rare.
