Ancient, Local issue of Ayodhya, (c. 100 BC), Copper Unit, 3.45 gms, 17.90 x 18.08 mm, Obv: Bull to right before standard surmounted by a highly ornate Srivatsa symbol in railing. Traces of legend above. Rev: Highly ornate Srivatsa symbol surrounded by a semi circle joined by two horizontal strokes on either sides. Small crescented three arched hill symbols on all four corners. One of the earliest issues of Ayodhya. Extremely few (<5) pieces known so far. Heavy weight, fine, extremely rare (Allan pp. 285, Plate XLVI 7).
