Ancient, Maharathis from Vidarbha, Maharathi Talathata (c. 150-200 AD), Alloyed Copper Unit, 4.93 gms, 20.73 mm, Obverse: Three arched hill surmounted by a crescent. Brahmi legend above reading “(MaHaRaThiSa Ta)LaThaTaSa”. Coin shows another three arch hill at 9 O clock position indicating that it is double struck , Reverse: Tree in railing with leaves radially emerging. Again double struck, very fine, rare.
