Hindu Medieval, Chandellas of Jajekabhukti, Trailokya Varman (c. 1203-1245 AD), Base Gold 4-1/2 Masha, 4.11 gms, 18.56 mm, Obverse: Seated Goddess Lakshmi facing, Reverse: Devanagari Legend in three lines reading ‘Shrimat-Tri/lokyaVa/mmaDeva’, The Chandellas under Paramardi's successor Trailokya Varman (ca. 1203/5-1245/7 CE) regained both their independence and their great fortress. From this point, however, the volume of their gold coin mintage diminished considerably.
