Mughal, Shah Alam Bahadur (AH 1119-1124, 1707–1712 AD), Silver Rupee, 11.43 gms, 21.16 mm, with pre-accession name Mu'azzam the Second Shah Jahan, Tatta Mint (mostly visible at bottom on rev), AH (1)119, RY Ahd, Muazzam is the pre-accession name of the ruler when he was a Prince in the Deccan, It has the couplet "tabl zad dar haft kishwar sikkah zad bar mihr o mah shahjahan thani sultan muazzam badshah" (He drummed in seven climes (announced to the world) and struck coins on the sun & moon (gold and silver)/ the second Shahjahan, Sultan Mua'zzam the emperor) Drumming has the meaning of announcing something important as in old times drummers and trumpeters (جارچی) would roam the streets to announce important news to people, similar to Zeno # 154804, KM # 345.1, very fine, very rare.
