Archaic, Punch Marked Coinage, attributed to Gandhara Janapada, (600-300 BC), Bent Bar, Silver 5 Shana, 11.10 gms, 11.31 x 35.03 mm, obv : six armed symbol ('septa-radiate / six-petalled flowers') at each end of the bar, These "bent bar" coins may have been struck when Gandhara was under Achaemenid rule. Many regard them as the earliest coins made in India, rev : uniface, Mitch # 4075, Rajgor Series # 34, very fine, very scarce.
