Banaras was a rare mint for the Delhi Sultan rulers, The Suri regime was full of confusion and rebellion hence tarnished by instability and insurrection in the final years of its reign, The throne of Muhammad Adil was weak (tenuous), Ibrahim and Ahmad (with the name Sikandar Shah), his cousins, were both enthroned in different sections of the Suri domains, the latter under the name Sikandar Shah, Both rebel kings had coins minted in silver and copper in their names, but Ibrahim Shah Suri's coinage is far rarer than Sikander Shah's.
