Delhi Sultan, Ghorid, Taj al -Din Yildiz (1206-1215), Silver Dirham, 4.00 gms, 25.43 mm, AH 603 (1206/1207 CE), square-in-circle type, citing the deceased Sultan Muiz Al-Din, Taj Al-Din Yildiz was one of the many (forty according to some sources) military retainers of Muiz Al-Din who were known as Sultani (Farsi, transl. of or belonging to the Sultan), on this specimen the word ‘Sultani’ is clear on the obverse left margin (left scan), Album # 1794, areas of weakness which are usual for the issue otherwise very fine overall.
