Bengal Sultanate, Ghiyath al-din Iwad (second series AH 622, 1225 AD), Silver Tanka, 10.79 gms, 31.08 mm, Mintless type, coin struck in the name of Shams al-din Iltutmish Sultan of Delhi, shahada and caliph al-nasir on rev. even though iltutmish was the sultan was delhi, and was overlord of Iwad, how ever iwad has mentioned the title as sultani, which is a diminutive & indicated iltutmish was a former slave of Qutb al-Din Aibak, and iwad was noble by birth, G&G # B39, very fine+, very rare.
