Mughal, Akbar (AH 963-1014, 1556-1605 AD), Copper 1/2 Dam or Nisfi, 10.33 gms, 17.42 mm, Ahmad-a-Nagar Mint (mostly visible at bottom on rev), Ilahi Month (04) Tir (Cancer), AH 1011, The coin seems to bear a Hijri date, viz.: AH 1011 and also show a Ilahi month: Tir. which is pretty unusual. The Nizamshahi kingdom of Ahmadnagar was partially conquered by the Mughals towards the end of Akbar’s reign. Copper coins struck to the prevalent local standard and denominational system were sporadically struck under Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan, similar to Zeno # 249616, very fine, rare.
