Ancient, Punch Marked Coinage from lower Middle Ganga Valley, Magadha Empire (3rd Century BC), Series III, Silver Karshapana, 3.04 gms, 19.84 x 20.95 mm, Classification & Refrence Series III, A 8 Am, obverse marks six armed symbol (mark 413), Sun (mark 468), Fish left between two horizontal lines supporting a plant with five upward-inclined bud-ended branches, the bottom two supported by poles, taurines between the side branches (mark 312), Elephant goad, spear, taurine and e-shaped object all in an oval (mark 200), Eight spokes around a circle with small hole in centre (mark 08), Gupta & Hardaker # Series III type 300a, page no 148, very fine, extremely rare.
