Hindu Medieval, Gurjara Prathiharas, Bhoja I (836-885 AD), Silver Dramma, 4.05 gms, 16.55 mm, Obverse: King standing to right assuming the face of a boar thereby representing the Adivaraha (Avatar of Vishnu), his left leg on a lion facing right (not seen), Reverse: Legend in Nagari reading in two lines as ‘(Shri)madadi/Varaha’, Indo-Sassanian fire altar below, Decorations around, It has been suggested that the lion below the foot of Adivaraha represents the Rashtrakutas who were enemies of the Pratiharas, very fine, very scarce with almost full and legend visible.
