Ancient, Post Mauryan, Punch Marked, Local Series, Copper Karshapana, 2.52 gms, 11.25 x 20.17 mm, Obv: Incuse of two punches including six armed symbol and elephant walking to right side, Present series of local punch marked coins is found from a vast tract of areas but more prominently from central India. Use of the then popular symbols of silver punch marked coins was almost a norm. This short lived series commenced around 1st century BC till 1st century AD. Uniface, fine+, very scarce.
