Ancient, Malwa (c. 2nd-1st Century BC), Copper Unit, 3.80 gms, 17.70 mm, Obverse: Five symbols: Six Arm symbol, Sun, Animal to right, four orbed Ujjain symbol and a Caduceus, Reverse: Uniface, This specimen is a fine example of transition from the punchmark technique to the die striking technique. The symbols appearing are mostly of the Mauryan punchmark series, however they are all included in one composite die, very fine, very rare.
