Hindu Medieval, Kadambas of Goa, Shivachitta Vajradeva (1193-1202 AD), Gold Gadyana, 4.40 gms, 19.43 mm, cyclic year 'Chitrabhanu', Obverse: Majestic lion facing left with a curled tail, Swastika behind its rump, name of cyclic year (Samvatsara) in front, Sun and Moon above, all within a linear and dotted circular border, Reverse: Devanagari legend ‘Shri Saptako/ tishwaralabdhavara/(Shri)Shichitta Veera Va/(jra)Devamalava/ (ra)mari’ in five lines,all within a linear and dotted circular border, In this particular specimen, it may be noted that the legend occurs as ‘Shichitta’ instead of the usual ‘Shivachitta’, very fine, very rare.
