Indian Princely States, Kalat State, Khudadad Khan (AH 1274-1311, 1856-1893 AD), Copper Falus, 5.47 gms, 25.34 mm, AH 12xx, double struck, legend Mahmud Khan Durrani on obv, Kalat Falus on rev, Kalat is a state located in Baluchistan. This the Khanate of Kalat had once been a feudatory of Kabul but became independent after Panipat. In 1839 Kalat was taken by the British and in 1854 a formal treaty was executed. From that time Kalat issued these crude octagonal copper falus for local use. The mint was closed in 1893 when Khudadad Khan was deposed for misrule, KM # 21, very fine, very scarce.
