Army Temperance Association Medal - Five Year Award, in silver and enamels, 42.92 gms, 42.76 mm Originally called the Silver Star of St. George in 1893, it was later named the White Star, after Field-Marshal Sir George Stuart White VC (1835-1912), President of the Army Temperance Association, to honour him on his departure from India in 1898, where he had served as Commander-in-Chief, India, from 1893 to 1898, very fine, very rare.
