Independent Kingdoms, Sikh Empire, Gobindshahi Couplet, Copper Paisa, 5.17 gms, 16.49 mm, Najibabad Mint, struck during the brief Sikh occupation of Najibabad under the command of Jassa Singh in 1785, sikh army under the command of Jassa Singh swept in 1785 AD through Rohilkhand and plundered the country as far as Chandausi, a town between Delhi and Bareilly. The Raja of Garhwal was made a Sikh tributary and Najibabad was occupied for a short time by the sikh troops which on the occasion may have struck some of these Paisas, Obverse. gobindshahi couplet, Reverse. mint name najibabab, Herrli # 17.01.11, fine+, very rare.
