Indian Princely States, Cis-Sutlej States, Jind State, Bhag Singh (VS 1843-1892, 1789-1819 AD), INO Ahmad Shah Durrani (AH 1160-1186, 1747-1772 AD), Silver Rupee, 11.09 gms 19.42 mm, Sahrind Mint (Off flan), ND, known date on the type, AH 1224. Early strike, with borrowed die's from Patiala. Capt. R C Temple, in his article on the Coins of the Native Princely States of Punjab, Indian Antiquary, Nov. 1889, describes this story for the coins of Raja Gajpat Singh, who has a seperate series with a well defined symbol. He also mentions that a plume(kalgi) was added to the die, with has been found to have been re-engraved on the worn out die of these coins, Saran & Dalwinder Singh JD 5ca, fine, rare.
