Ancient, Post Guptas, Samatata Region, Sridharanarata (c. 664-675 AD), Gold Dinar, 5.66 gms, 19.56 mm, Obv: a stylized representation of the king, nimbate, holding a bow and arrow on either hand, a standard in field left with forked finial, letter ‘Shri’ in upper field left & another 'Shri' in Brahmi below the right arm of king and legend "Shridhara" between the legs, Rev: the goddess Lakshmi standing right, holding an object in her hand, an illegible inscription in the right field, This coin’s obverse shows the standard being held by the king, making it unique when compared to other specimens listed in important Reference Catalogues, extra fine, very rare.
