Ancient, Indo-Greeks, Pantaleon (c. 185-180 BC), Bronze Unit, 10.51 gms, 23.69 x 18.01 mm, Obverse: Traces of Lion standing to right, Reverse: Female deity (Lakshmi ?) moving to left, holding flower in right hand, Brahmi legendon either side of deity reading as ‘(Rajane Pa)talevasa’, This is perhaps the first Greek coin type that was issued for circulation in the Indian sub-continent, MIG # 161, Bop # 6, fine, very rare.
