Medieval, Harikela type from Eastern Bengal (7th-8th Century AD), Silver Unit, 5.27 gms, 29.20 mm, Obv. A bull seated to right with upraised tail, Early Nagari legend ‘Harikela’ in retrograde on top, Circular and beaded borders around, Rev. An ornate Tripatriate (Shrivatsa?) symbol with Sun and Moon on top, Circular and beaded borders around, Initially the legend was read as ‘Ukeria’ by BN Mukherjee, but recently Bose and Nasir have shown that this is a retrograde legend of ‘Harikela’, Bose and Nasir, pg 90, very fine, very rare.
